Our client is a world-class, globally renowned, Natural Resources business with a headcount of over 100,000 worldwide.

This exciting and diverse role exists in one of the company’s satellite offices based in the Hague, The Netherlands.

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager who can assume independent responsibility for regulatory, legal, tax, compliance and administrative functions in the Hague office working with key stakeholders which include senior members of corporate functions in their HQ (Switzerland) including Group Accounting, Tax, Legal (Company Secretarial) and Compliance.  The Office Manager is the local ‘touchpoint’ for the Hague office commercial presence.

The position encompasses duties and responsibilities as follows:


  • Close coordination with financial accounting and corporate teams in Baar, Switzerland.
  • Support tax related function for the Dutch entities & submission of tax filings.
  • Support budget preparation and analysis of actuals vs budget.
  • Filing of annual statutory financials with Dutch Chamber of Commerce.
  • Preparation / assistance with regulatory reporting and filing.
  • Payroll function together with requisite administration associated with sick leave register, pension, insurances and wage tax payments.
  • Support basic accounting related function.


  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations as applicable
  • Serve as main point of contact for Compliance as related to the Hague Office

Legal / Company Secretarial:

  • Maintenance of physical and electronic company files
  • Administration of the relevant companies, including respective filings and preparation of basic corporate legal documentation

Ad Hoc:

  • General administration related to the Office manager role
  • Review & approval of office administration related expenses


  • Dynamic and lateral thinking individual with advanced analytical and administration skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership and attention to detail.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to learn.
  • Flexible, able to integrate and work in a multicultural team / environment
  • Solid educational background.
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in Law, Accounting, HR, Economics or similar
  • 3 -4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge Dutch GAAP and Dutch legislation.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
