Our client is a global supplier of LNG, owners of a sea-going fleet of LNG vessels and operate a, LNG Terminal in Europe. As part of the Operations department, you will support the Head of Operations, and enjoy Hybrid working with a 60/40 split between office and home.
As a Commercial Operator in this entrepreneurial, and growing LNG business, you will be generally responsible for:
- Communication and coordination between Vessel (Master), Vessel manager and Commercial team.
- Post fixture operations and follow up communication between the Charterers, the Vessels and Technical Management.
- Support the Commercial department with pre-fixture information and take an active role in the fixture process.
- Follow up of invoicing of hire and rechargeable costs to Charterers or others in cooperation with Vessel Accounting.
- Improve commercial outcome for fixtures in line with creating improved customer satisfaction by taking a proactive approach towards the interfaces.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete Ship Shore Compatibility Studies (SSCS).
- Read and understand C/P clauses and give feedback to Chartering and customers.
- Work closely with Charterer and technical managers in order to verify that Charterers
- accept the vessel and that the vessel complies with intended terms.
- Provide operational and logistical support including economical calculations for the various aspects of the charter.
- Responsible for Commercial Operations of an assigned number of vessels.
- Responsible for backing-up the team on all remaining vessels.
- Appoint Owners agents when needed.
- Follow up on delivery and re-delivery notices plus any TCP terms needing action.
- Frequent communication with Charterers, technical managers, and the Vessels to ensure compliance with C/P terms.
- Anticipate and follow the bunker market and arrange bunkering of the vessels when required.
- Agree with Charterers/ Commercial department on LNG Heel on redelivery of the vessels with ref. to relevant C/P clause and in coordination with chartering for next fixture.
- Be responsible for claims handling related to cargo and voyages for assigned vessels.
- Prepare and approve hire invoice in cooperation with accounting.
- Send supporting documents to Vessel accounting for rechargeable cost to Charterers such as War risk premiums (WRAP), agency etc.
- Participate and support project work in other Departments upon request.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous, relevant, work-based experience is required.
- Sea-going experience is beneficial.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities.
- Strong and effective communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with staff at all levels and across all disciplines.
- Ability to work effectively on short notice and out of hours.
- Energetic; adeptly work under pressure.
- Competent user of standard MS Office applications with advanced Excel
