Working as a Credit Analyst with the Credit department of this integrated Commodity company, the successful candidate will have related experience in a similar role, ideally within the Oil, Gas, Commodity trading industry, bank or other financial institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Counterparty assessment – analysing counterparties’ credit worthiness in order to recommend appropriate credit limits and managing credit support (PCG’s) where necessary.
- Ensure that the relevant credit systems are updated as required and in line with policy.
- Regular renewal and continuous monitoring of counterparty status.
- Counterparty maintenance – developing and maintaining relationships with counterparties including support in negotiating trading documentation and maximising credit lines.
- Credit reporting and control – routine reporting of credit exposure and risk measures, and anticipation and management of breaches and exceptions.
- Give credit advice to support business growth within Oil, Oil products, and wholesale business.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Credit/Credit Manager on current issues and advise on solutions.
- Provide Credit support for the oil, oil products and wholesale business areas, when required.
- Provide ad hoc support for the KYC (Know your customer) process if required.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Degree: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of assessing financial statements would be beneficial
- Good proficiency on Microsoft Excel
